Hot Summer Nights...

Hot summer nights were not necessarily true for me. I do not mind though as I prefer hot summer days to achieve a good tan....
I went there during the Holy Week and what a pleasant surprise to arrive at a "Podium on sale crowd" whereas I was exprecting an "SM Megamall on sale crowd." Bwahaha! I had Boracay all to myself... (well, with a few people around... ) Our theory on why there are not much people at Boracay?

1. Most people thought everybody would go to Boracay so they did not push through with their plans...

2. They went to Tagaytay instead (Hence, an eight hour travel from Manila to Tagaytay)...

3. A good number went to Hongkong and/or rode a ferry to enjoy the new Europe / Las Vegas at The Venetian at Macau.

Anyway, these are what the "supposed-to-be-in-Boracay last Holy Week" peepz had missed...
1. Peaceful waters without literally rubbing elbows with a huge crowd...
2. Giving away of human-sized Havaiannas to Boracay boys and babes sporting a cool Havaiannas pair...
3. Studio 23 Beach House party...

4. Island-hopping specifically a trip to the caves at Crystal Cove...

5. Or snorkling at the Crocodile Island... (I did not snorkle along with the crocodiles... It is called croc island because of its shape.... And yes, I did not see even a single croc... I saw a sea snake underwater though... )

6. Solace and alone-time at the private Puka beach...

7. The perfect shore along Discovery Shores...
8. Opportunity to get a good tan...
9. Lazy afternoons...

10. Good mornings...
11. Sunsets and palm trees...

12. Great massage with the gentle sea breeze blowing and crashing waves cradling people to sleep (that's not me on the pic though... just some stranger... I was too engrossed with my massage that a picture of me being massaged was not feasible).

13. Night life...

14. Sand castles and the famous grotto site...

15. And of course, FOOD TRIP. (Check out my next post... all food!)

Cold Summer Days...

Our company outing was set at Tagaytay Highlands.

Since we were exhausted with Mandy Moore few days before the trip, we really did not explore much in Highlands. Instead, we opted to just lounge around at the clubhouse. Anyway, Mandy Moore the event was fun... but behind the scenes, it was not.

But I realized that Mandy is not just a good singer but a great entertainer as well. She was really amusing during the concert. I found her stunning and beaming also. Her long legs and good frame may have led her to do some sexy stuff. But she has been sticking with her wholesome image which just continues to captivate both young and old.

Anyway, here's Tagaytay Highlands...

The better part of the Tagaytay experience was the trip our team had after. It started with a good hotel...

Stef and I were tempted to lure the team to try T House. But since we were a big group and we didn't want to spend much on a hotel (and T House can be pretty boring for restless people), we tried Hotel Kimberly along Amadeo Road.

Each of us (group composed of 7) had to shell out 1,200 pesos for the two spacious de luxe rooms we had for an overnight accommodation. After checking-in, we headed to the highway. We were supposed to try Antonio's Grill (located at the same area where Starbucks and Carlos Pizza sit), but after looking at the menu, we cannot reconcile the price and the ambience. So we opted Dencio's instead. Our night ended with us dropping by at Starbucks.
Before sleeping, we brought out our cameras once more...

And again, before heading to the restaurant for our complimentary breakfast...

And again, before packing-up for lunch...
My friend Anne would not get off my camera frame so she decided to flaunt her Yoga pose for me instead...

Stef and I lured them to Bawai's. The girls generally enjoyed, but the carnivores did not...

Even if the carnivores felt that they were choking with the greens overdose, they still got very full. Proof : Look at Posh (the lady in pink at the center). Observe closely why we all agree that she was full...

We also ordered the same entrees I had before - the fresh lumpia Viet style and the meat rolled on sugar cane sticks. The carnivores at least liked the complimentary Viet ginataan we had for dessert. But the real treat for me was the Viet coffee.

Our lunch cost around 1,500 pesos.

After lunch, we further explored Tagaytay. Just a walk away from Bawai's is Chateau Hestia.

We thought we were too full to eat anything, so we opted to just order whatever just so we can take more pictures. We ordered for A Love Triangle which costed a little over 250 pesos.

This plate lasted less than a minute, I swear. The panna cotta is the best anybody from our group ever had. The dessert plate is really divine. Actually, we all conclude that eveything in and about the place is heavenly. We are even planning a simple and intimate wedding here in a few years time...

But our Tagaytay road trip did not end just that....
We went to Carlos which was booked for a function that day...

I felt like Frida as soon as I entered the compound...
Then we headed to Tootsie's and got our FIC's at The Cliffhouse as we passed by the highway... We didn't stay long though as we still headed to Good Shepherd for tawilis, ube jam and ube macapuno.

Then, we passed by Piccolo Mondo just to check out their menu and hopefully try it next time (maybe in their branch at Alabang). We were running out of time...

We finally headed to Moon Garden which had a good set-up, homey furniture and nice paintings... Not to mention, nice bathroom... But we prefer Chateau Hestia still...

This tree has craft moons hanging... This should explain why it is called Moon Garden. But I think, I like the "sun" better....

Hmm... let's discover sun.
