December Dining

La Maison Grill in Trinoma.
Given that we had to pay about 1,500 pesos, La Maison still is worth the effort it required a person from the East to head to the ever-traffic North.

Although it took time before we were seated (despite being pricey compared to the other casual dining restaurants in the same area), over-all, we enjoyed the experience.

I'm still trying to retrieve the food pics I took. Anyway, we ordered for this "meat platter" which had a steak, chicken and ribs which is supposedly marketed as something ideal for a barkada. The angry and hungry duo finished it all up anyway. We had a salad paired with the dish for the carnivores.

But of course, there's always room for dessert no matter how heavy my stomach felt after the meat trip. The youthful and dainty ambience of Five Cows Creamery was very amusing. But their sweet offerings brought better delight.
The trip to Trinoma was worth it, thanks to the two restaurants which did not fail our expectations. As an added bonus, it was the perfect place to flaunt my then-new-hairdo with the sexy bangs.... The day was awesome. It was capped off by a great fireworks show.

Fish Out of Water at Greenbelt 5.
We were off to try to much-raved about John and Yoko on that one particular December night. However, since traffic was bad coming from Quezon City, the time we reached Greenbelt 5, we didn't have much patience to wait to be seated at John and Yoko. Although I must say that they have a very efficient cuing system (they get your mobile number then would really text you once a table becomes available), but the line was just too long. We were at the 6th position in the list, yet our growling tummies could already work as sound effects for a radio ad for Kremil S.

So we headed to Fish Out of Water which was also full, but thankfully had two seats to spare for my friend and I. Our bill amounted to about 2,000 pesos, but boy, were we full. I must say, all our senses were pleased with the dining experience.

For four scrumptious entrees, the price paid was already cheap.
But again, no matter how full we were, we had to pass by Classic Confections (a floor below Fish Out of Water). We paid around 300 pesos for a pot of tea and a very sinful treat.
